• What is the purpose of this website?
  We make it easier for aspiring pilots to discover the right flight training in the UK and compare PPL training costs across a range of flight schools. There is currently no unified platform in the UK that consolidates flight training organization details, their pricing, and course offerings. Each organization's website has a different layout, making them hard to navigate — and trying to compare prices in a spreadsheet quickly turns into a nightmare. This website aims to simplify the search process by presenting structured information from various ATOs and DTOs, helping aspiring pilots research and compare training options more efficiently.

  • UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) PPL flying schools and organisations,
  Approved Training Organisations Doc. 31
  – for the official list of licensed ATOs and DTOs, including their approved course offerings.
  • Flight training organizations' official websites – for detailed information on available fleets, course structures, and pricing.
• Is the flight training cost regularly updated?
  No. The pricing shown is a snapshot taken when the data was originally extracted from the organization’s website. Each listing includes a “Last Updated” date for reference. We do not actively monitor or refresh prices.
  
  This project started in 2025. If you are viewing this website in a later year, the pricing data may be outdated. It is your responsibility to verify all costs directly with the flight training provider before making any decisions. Please also review the disclaimer included with each listing.

For Flight Training Organization's Owners

• Why isn’t my training organization listed on this website?
  We focus on listing training providers that primarily provide aircraft training and clearly present structured training programs and pricing on their websites. Initially, we hand-picked schools based in southern England, and we are continuously expanding our coverage across the UK as of 2025.
  
  Your organization may not be listed for one or more of the following reasons:
  • We couldn't find your ATO/DTO listing on the CAA website. (See "data sources used" above.)
  • We couldn't find your website online.
  • Your website does not clearly show training courses or pricing.
  • Your organization primarily offers helicopter training, experience flights, ground school, integrated ATPL, or training specifically for Armed Forces members.
  • Your location/region hasn’t been covered yet.
  • We simply missed it — sorry!
  That said, we are happy to include any flight training organization licensed by the UK CAA — even if one or more of the reasons above apply. Please contact us via the Contact Us form — we’d be glad to add you.
